Make sure to read our FAQ’s and Consultation info before booking.
Consultation: The process typically begins with a consultation where the client discusses their desired eyebrow shape, thickness, and overall look. The microblading professional assesses the client’s natural eyebrow shape, facial features, and skin tone to provide appropriate recommendations.
Preparing for the Procedure: Before the microblading procedure, the client’s eyebrows are cleaned, and a topical numbing cream may be applied to minimize discomfort during the process. The technician will explain the steps involved and answer any questions or concerns the client may have.
Design and Mapping: The technician uses a sterile, handheld tool with microblades to create fine, precise incisions in the superficial layers of the skin. Prior to this, they use a specialized pencil or marker to map out the desired eyebrow shape, taking into account the client’s facial features and symmetry.
Pigment Selection: The technician assists the client in selecting a pigment color that best matches their natural eyebrow shade or desired look. They may also consider the client’s skin tone and hair color to ensure a harmonious outcome.
Microblading Procedure: Using the microblading tool, the technician carefully implants the chosen pigment into the incisions created during mapping. This process creates individual, hair-like strokes that mimic the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs. The technician continually checks for symmetry and adjusts the strokes as needed to achieve the desired shape.
Aftercare Instructions: After the microblading procedure, the technician provides detailed aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing and long-lasting results. This may include avoiding water, excessive sweating, or exposure to direct sunlight for a specified period. The client may be advised to apply a healing ointment to the treated area to promote healing and prevent infections.
Touch-Up Session: Microblading is a two-step process, often requiring a touch-up session after a few weeks. During this appointment, the technician evaluates the healed results and makes any necessary adjustments to achieve the desired outcome. This touch-up session helps ensure longevity and enhances the final appearance of the microbladed eyebrows.
Your first Microblading session should take about two to three hours. The touch-up sessions following will take slightly less time.
Although not generally considered painful, our clients can expect mild discomfort comparable to the feeling of plucking multiple eyebrow hairs simultaneously.
Results may vary, but typically clients can expect around 1 year to 18 months, or even upwards of 2 years. Depending on the look you want, you may be required to book touch-up sessions to maintain the look you desire.
4-6 weeks. This time may vary, depending on various factors, as each person is a little different. Expect your eyebrows to go through several stages of healing after the procedure.
Immediately following the procedure, the pigment in your brows will appear quite unnatural, however, the colour of the pigment will appear much darker the next day. After about 4-6 weeks your brows will look the way you desired them to.
Microblading is a lot like tattooing, so the procedure itself can seem quite invasive with the sensations you feel in your brows. There are risks when performing this type of procedure, I mean, we're working with micro-sized blades, so you don't want an amateur doing this for you! At Bombshell, we pride ourselves in having a high standard cleanliness and a sterile environment for our trained professionals to work in, ensuring your safety and comfort during the procedure and every touch-up session afterwards.
Of course! Our trained professionals are well-versed in a variety of styles and colours. It always helps communicating exactly what you want before we begin the procedure, so we will make sure we get to know you and your needs beforehand.
We advise to avoid botox, laster treatments, waxing, chemical peels, or any other kind of major brow-altering activities at least 3 or 4 weeks before proceeding with Microblading. To better prepare, try to not use retinol or Skincare products containing Vitamin A.
